Sadly Anthony Dream Johnson at the dream lounge has no place in his life for Jesus. If you bother with reading the hit piece you will see that he starts off in his younger years obsessed with girls and sex and found irritation at his lessons because they were against his desires. He also is puffed up with a lot of pride, making several references to how much smarter he was than everyone else. He also helped other students cheat in their exams. I am not sure if he is trying to endear himself to his readers, but it paints a picture of a rebellious person who is consumed with his own vanity.
For 28 years of my life, I was much like him. I was consumed with the same sort of lusts, thought much of myself, and was smugly “tolerant” of religion as well. My mind was molded by my mother, who also was a rebel catholic, and I continued on in the futility of my beliefs. You see, atheism is still a belief system all the same. You believe in your own logic and reason, esteeming them higher than God or anything else. You may rest your “logical” mind on science, or government as the final law, but you made the judgement, so you are god to yourself. Considering how flawed our perceptions are, this is pure folly. The greatest minds in the world know there are laws to the universe that have no origin in the universe, and they are being maintained by “something”. True science and faith have no quarrel, but atheists are constantly redacting their statements because what they know is proven false all the time. There is no empirical proof of evolution, there is only a theory. They “believe” it is true, thus it is part of ordinances of their “I” religion.
” I bring up Richard Nikoley in the title and now content of this post because to me, he has always been the #1 blogger in this realm, who doesn’t actually run a blog devoted to his hatred of religion (not even remotely).”
Anyone who looks are Free the Animal will see Richard bashing Christianity. Atheists almost always bash Jesus to try to prop up their feeble assumptions that they have life all figured out. I liked the site’s info on diet, but running into that gauntlet of hatred made me put it aside. His quote at the end is just another man made attack on Christianity.
In its attitude toward woman, too, Christianity exhibited profound antagonism to a love relationship that integrates desire and admiration, physical and spiritual values, and which is based on the essential equality of the partners. On the deepest level Christianity has always been a fierce opponent of romantic love.
The pursuit of one’s values, the exercise of one’s judgement in the conduct of one’s life, and the enjoyment of sexual pleasure, all are acts of self-assertion entailed in the choice and experience of a romantic relationship. All were condemned by Christianity.
He originally bolded the statement about romantic love. There is nothing against romantic love in the bible so long as it was between a man and his wife. It is a bold faced lie. I would have found the argument that Christianity condemns the pursuit of one’s OWN values much more interesting to debate. for that is certainly true.
