Anti-bully speaker mocks Christian children, Bible, and God

This is the blindness that nonbelievers experience when confronted with the truth of the Bible. They cannot properly understand it. He is very stuck on Leviticus because it strictly denies his desire as just. He is lashing out randomly at parts of the Bible when all he needs to do at this point is to believe on Jesus for his salvation. Then he would have a proper spirit to understand what he read. He, and indeed everyone, is condemned by the laws of God, but our sins are paid for by Jesus Christ. Eternal life is through Him.

Romans 10:9,10 “…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Dan Savage mocks what he doesn’t understand, and makes the way more difficult for those children to have saving faith. I am proud of those in the video who walked out. Hopefully one day Dan Savage will see the truth before it is too late.

  1. I think Savage understand the Bible quite well. He understands that those passages are precisely the passages that people use to attack him and others like him. Whatever else you may think he ought to do, there should be no surprise in his opposition to the very passages in question. Nothing random in his crititicisms at all.

His understanding is not in the proper spirit, because he doesn’t have the holy spirit in him. He has a pointed attack on passages that are against homosexuality, because that is his interest. They condemn his desire, so he hates the Bible.
He then randomly goes on about shellfish and other points in the bible in the wrong context. He doesn’t understand why the law was written so he attempts to ridicule it. The law kills him, and indeed everyone. He spends most of his ammo in the old testament.
His journey into the new testament is stymied by again running into passages that condemn his pet sin. He cannot possibly entertain the thought that he is wrong on the matter. His pride in his own intellect and understanding keeps him from seeing his need for a savior, namely Jesus. I know the world right now mostly agrees with him and disagrees with the bible.
Most Christian’s attitude towards homosexuals is the old phrase, “hate the sin, love the sinner.” This means we are against the practice. Speaking out against it is not bullying, it is simply an opinion which are protected in the US for now. His opinion against the Bible is also protected, but he took it a step further and attacked his audience personally when they decided to leave. He took it upon himself to call out those who left and basically channeled all his hatred for those Christians who beat his brethren onto these innocent children, basically insinuating that these children were responsible for the beatings. It is one thing to insult adults, it’s another thing to subject children (teens yes, but still underage and therefore considered children) to the taunting words and insults. Who’s the bully in that scenario? He is shown to be a terrible anti-bullying advocate by that display. I applaud those children because they did exactly what we teach our children to do when they are confronted by a bully: walk away and avoid confrontation.
I know I won’t convince anyone by my words, but I will write them for as long as I am able to, as a testimony of the times.
